Daryl Overlock

Biography and Professional Information

Daryl Overlock was born and raised in Glendora, California. After High School, he started working in Customer Service as Manager for American Title.  He left the title industry and spent 5 years in Bologna, Italy working as an assistant cook and catering manager.

Upon his return to the United States, and prior to entering in the field of construction, Daryl returned to the Title Insurance Industry for 18 years where he was a Senior Title Office for First American Title Company and Title Operations Manager for Southland Title. Looking for a change of pace and to become his own boss, he began working towards a new career goal. In June of 2008, Daryl received his General Contractor license and set out to make his dream come true.

Today, Daryl is the President and Owner of  American Home Source, which opened in January 2005 as a Panelized Building System Dealer. He specializes in Owner/Builder assistance and Project Management as well as work as a General Contractor, License Number 916849

He is the past President of the Glendora Kiwanis Club where he received the following awards:

  • Dunlap Award
  • George E Hixson Award
  • Outstanding Service Award

He is Past President to the Glendora Chamber of Commerce (2011-2012). In 2009 Daryl received the Ambassador of the Year Award for outstanding performance in assisting and welcoming new small businesses to the chamber.

In addition to the afore mentioned organizations, Daryl is very active in the community, serving on several other committees, councils and organizations.  Here is a list of organizations where Daryl holds responsibilities:

The Chairman for Flashback, Classic Car and Motorcycle show which is the largest fundraiser for the Glendora Kiwanis and Glendora Chamber of Commerce

He has held the following positions:

  • Committee Chair for the Glendora War Memorial
  • Committee Chair for the Glendora Centennial Festival
  • Chairman for the Scholarship committee for the Glendora Chamber of Commerce
  • Vice President/Treasure for The Dog Rescuers, a Non-Profit organization which helps save the lives of abandoned dogs, provides low cost spay/neuter clinics and education.  www.thedogrescuers.com
  •  Daryl was presented the Gene Beckwith Humanitarian Award for 2011 by The Coordinating Council for Glendora.
